Free Boat Rides

You can take free ferries accros the IJ waters that devide the city center form the north part of town.

Behind Central Train Station there is a ferry dock, where you can take a ferry straight accros to the Buiksloterweg. It will only take a few minutes. Or you can take a ferry to the NDSM warf area. That takes about 10-15 minutes.

The ferry boats are free of charge, you do not need a ticket and can travel on them as much as you want.

Amsterdam has about 50 parks. So there will be always one closeby to enjoy. The largest one is the Vondelpark. Other reall nice parks to explore are the Westerpark, Sarphatipark, the Rembrandtpark, Park Frankendael and the Wertheimerpark.
